Who we are

Waller Weddings, a brand of Waller Media ("we," "us," "our") is a wedding photography and videography studio based in Ventura County, California, serving Santa Barbara and Southern California. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit wallerweddings.com (the "Site"), contact us, or book our services, and how we use and protect it.

By using the Site, you agree to the practices described here.

Information we collect

Information you give us. When you fill out a contact or booking form, email us, or sign a contract, we collect details such as your name, email address, phone number, partner's name, wedding date, venue, guest count, and any notes you share about your wedding.

Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, our website platform and analytics and advertising tools may collect your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, time spent on pages, the site that referred you, and general location (city or region).

Wedding photos and films. We deliver your photos and films through a private online gallery and keep archive copies for delivery and support. We may share selected images or footage in our portfolio, on social media, and in ads as allowed by your contract. You can ask us not to at any time.

Cookies, the Meta Pixel, and advertising

We use cookies and similar technologies to run the Site, understand how visitors use it, and measure and improve our advertising.

  • Meta Pixel and Conversions API. We use tools from Meta Platforms, Inc. (Facebook and Instagram) that collect information about your actions on our Site, such as pages you visit and forms you submit. Meta uses this to show our ads to people who may be interested, measure how our ads perform, and build audiences for future ads. Meta may combine this with other information it holds about you under its own Data Policy.

  • Analytics. We use Squarespace Analytics and may use Google Analytics to see how visitors find and use the Site.

  • Squarespace. Our Site is hosted by Squarespace, which sets cookies needed for the Site to work. See the Squarespace Privacy Policy.

You can control cookies through your browser settings and our cookie banner. To manage the ads you see on Facebook and Instagram, visit your Meta ad preferences. You can also opt out of interest-based ads through the Digital Advertising Alliance.

How we use your information

  • To respond to inquiries, send quotes, and book and deliver our services

  • To send contracts, invoices, questionnaires, and wedding-day planning details

  • To deliver your photos and films

  • To run, secure, and improve the Site

  • To show you relevant ads on Facebook, Instagram, and other platforms, and to measure how those ads perform

  • To send occasional updates or offers, if you opt in (you can unsubscribe anytime)

  • To meet legal and tax obligations

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it only as needed to run our business:

  • Our wedding team — second shooters and videographers working your wedding receive the details they need to cover it.

  • Service providers — website hosting (Squarespace), client management, contracts and invoicing (17Hats), payment processing, photo and video gallery delivery, email, and cloud storage.

  • Advertising and analytics partners — Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and Google receive website activity data as described above. Under California law, this may count as "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising. See "Your choices" below to opt out.

  • Legal reasons — when required by law, or to protect our rights, our clients, or others.

Your choices and California privacy rights

If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

  • Know what personal information we collect, use, and share

  • Request a copy of your personal information

  • Ask us to correct or delete it

  • Opt out of the "sharing" of your information for targeted advertising

  • Not be treated differently for using these rights

To use any of these rights, email us at the address below. We will respond within 45 days and may need to confirm your identity first. We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signals as an opt-out request.

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in the email.

Data retention and security

We keep client information and contracts for as long as needed to provide our services and meet legal, tax, and accounting requirements. We keep wedding galleries and archives for the period stated in your contract. We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, but no website or online service is completely secure.

Children's privacy

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when it last changed.
